Dr. Place received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at the University of Illinois in 1969. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1973. Dr. Place completed his general surgery residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City and his ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
Dr. Place joined K.C. Eye Specialists in July of 1978. He isĀ certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Place is a member of the medical staffs of Research Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital, and Menorah Medical Center.
Caroline M. Chang, M.D.

Dr. Chang graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1993. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital and her ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, both in New York City.
Dr. Chang is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She joined K.C. Eye Specialists in 2002. Dr. Chang is a member of the medical staffs of Shawnee Mission Medical Center and Menorah Medical Center.
